FREE Kotahitanga Workshop – Working together to build strong, disaster resilient communities

Auckland Emergency Management is hosting an educational, interactive workshop designed to encourage step by step actions you, your whānau and your local neighbours can take to better prepare for an emergency.

Thursday 20 May, Signing in from 6.00pm to 6.30pm. Session starts 6.30pm-8.30pm.

Venue: Mary Thomas Centre, 3 Gibbons Road, Takapuna (St Annes Room).

We know that having conversations before a disaster event, and building stronger social networks in our local neighbourhoods means people cope better and can support each other well during a time of need. You will consider the specific hazard risks, capabilities, resources, and vulnerabilities within your whanau and your local neighbourhood. This includes understanding the role of emergency response services as opposed to community-led activity to share resources and help each other during an emergency.

Open to all!
