Our networks

ANCAD is a respected and trusted partner of central government, local government, local businesses and community sector organisations. We run the largest community database and network in Auckland North. Below are some of the networks we are involved with.

Takapuna North Community Trust

Set up in 2006 to support and promote the wellbeing of the communities of Takapuna, the Takapuna North Community Trust supports community development in the Northern suburbs of the Devonport Takapuna Local Board; from Hauraki corner to Sunnynook. Their mission is to ensure all members of the community love where they live.

Hearts & Minds

Hearts & Minds NZ is a community development agency with an integrated focus on wellbeing whose purpose is to inspire stronger, healthier communities by connecting people to resources and support that transform lives.

Takapuna Methodist Church

The Takapuna Methodist Church and the wider Parish in which it sits has been on a Community Led Development journey for a number of years. Community Led Development or Te Whakawhanake ā-Hapori can be understood as a place-based development approach which seeks to build from local strengths and assets, working with diverse groups of people towards locally-owned visions and goals.

Volunteering Auckland

The VA vision is that volunteering is valued by all. Their mission is dedicated to leadership, support and promotion of volunteering. Almost any organisation with a commitment to volunteering can register as a member of Volunteering Auckland.

Volunteering New Zealand

VNZ are kaitiaki of Mahi Aroha, empowering volunteers to enrich Aotearoa New Zealand. Their aspiration for Aotearoa New Zealand is that volunteering is valued as part of who we are as a nation.

North Shore Women's Centre

North Shore Women’s Centre provides essential support services for women. These services include a free legal clinic, counselling, social work, assessment and information and referral. A range of courses are held at the Centre.

Respect

Respect is a Family Violence Counselling organisation on North Shore. Respect is about increasing safety and reducing violence. They provide group and individual programmes for men, women and children affected by family violence.

De Paul House

De Paul house has been housing families since 1986. They provide housing and support services for those most vulnerable in the community, focusing on families with dependent children.

Bays Community Housing Trust

The Bays Community Housing Trust was set up in 2004 in affiliation with Long Bay Baptist Church. They offer affordable, good quality housing on Auckland’s North Shore for those in social and economic need.

Community Networks Aotearoa

Community Networks Aotearoa (CNA) is the name for a long established national umbrella organisation previously known as the New Zealand Council of Social Services. CNA works to empower and strengthen the community sector by supporting community networks through courses, e-publications and events.

Manukau East Council of Social Services

Manukau East Council of Social Services (MECOSS) optimises the delivery of health, wellbeing, safety and education to Auckland’s Manukau East community through Social Services, the Manukau East Shopping Shuttle, Community Networking Meetings, Capacity and Capability Development, Dance Yourself Happy, the MECOSS Newsletter and Advocacy.

Future Whangaparaoa

Future Whangaparaoa Trust exists to support the Whangaparaoa Peninsula community by building capacity in local organisations and services, providing community events, and supporting the wellbeing of all residents.
