Our group focuses on fostering a sense of community and belonging among Chinese families, with a particular focus on children, on the North Shore in Auckland.
We organize various cultural, celebration, and social events to bring families together, celebrate our heritage, and provide a support network.
The support from ANCAD has been crucial in enhancing our capacity to serve our community better.
Over the past few months, members of the Auckland Chinese Families Network Incorporated have actively participated in several of ANCAD’s LiiFT Aotearoa training sessions and ‘Ask the Experts’ drop-in sessions. These opportunities have been instrumental in enhancing our capabilities and improving our community outreach.
The training sessions on governance, leading change, and navigating board governance have equipped us with the necessary tools and knowledge to run our organization more effectively. The insights gained from these sessions have enabled us to streamline our operations, set clear objectives, and engage more effectively with our community members.
One of the most valuable aspects of the training was the strategic grant seeking workshops. With the knowledge gained, we have been able to secure additional funding, which has allowed us to continue to run our events. This has had a direct positive impact on the families we support, providing them with more resources and opportunities.
Additionally, the ‘Ask the Experts’ sessions have been incredibly beneficial. The tailored advice and guidance provided by experts have helped us get ready for re-registering our incorporated society before the due date in 2026.
Thank you again ANCAD for empowering and supporting us in making our organisation better serve our community.
