ANCAD AGM 2026 Highlights: Y Youth Matter
ANCAD’s 2026 Annual General Meeting brought together members, partners, community leaders and supporters for an inspiring evening centred around this year’s theme, Y Youth Matter.
The AGM provided an opportunity to reflect on ANCAD’s achievements over the past year, celebrate the organisations and people who contribute to stronger communities, and look ahead to the opportunities and challenges facing the community sector. Alongside the formal business of the meeting, the evening focused on the importance of investing in young people and creating communities where they can thrive, contribute and lead.
This year’s theme recognised that today’s young people are not simply the leaders of tomorrow—they are already making valuable contributions within their schools, families and communities. Through presentations, discussion and shared experiences, attendees explored the important role community organisations, local leaders and volunteers play in supporting young people to develop confidence, leadership skills and a strong sense of belonging.
Guests also heard about ANCAD’s continued commitment to building stronger, more capable community organisations through initiatives such as LiiFT Aotearoa, Community Accounting, the Family Violence Prevention Network, Bays in Action, Bays Youth Voice, and other programmes that strengthen leadership, governance and community wellbeing across Auckland.
Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed and helped make the day such a success. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our guest speakers, volunteers, Board members, staff and supporters whose ongoing commitment enables ANCAD to continue serving communities across the region.
We invite you to enjoy a selection of photos from the day, capturing some of the conversations, connections and celebrations that made this year’s AGM so memorable.
